Three steps, no office visit
Call, text or send the form
Tell us what needs signing, where you are and when. We quote the full price on the spot – no surprises later.
We come to you
Your home, office, a cafe, a hospital room, a detention facility. Anywhere in San Diego County, days, nights and weekends.
You get your documents
We check ID, witness the signatures, apply the seal and hand everything back. For apostilles we take it from there and return the finished certificate.
Why Black Seal
The details that actually matter at a signing
Most notarizations go wrong for boring reasons: an expired ID, a missing witness, the wrong certificate wording, a document that needed an apostille and nobody said so. We have been doing this since 2020, with more than 35 years of combined experience behind the team, and we check for those things before we arrive rather than after.
- We tell you the price first. A flat quote, including travel, before anything is booked.
- We bring what is needed. Printer, certificates, journal, seal. Printing is $1 a page if you have not printed yours.
- If we make a mistake, we fix it free. Errors and omissions by our notaries are corrected at no charge.
- We go where other notaries will not. Hospital bedsides, hospices and county detention facilities are routine work for us.

Questions we get every day
How quickly can a notary get to me?
If you call early in the day we can usually reach most of San Diego County within a couple of hours, and we take same-day and after-hours requests as a matter of course. For a guaranteed slot we ask for about 24 hours' notice. If it is urgent, call or text (858) 888-8060 rather than emailing – the phone is always fastest.
What does a mobile notary cost in San Diego?
A standard visit is $95, which covers travel anywhere in the county and up to three notarized signatures. Each signature beyond that is $95. An apostille is $195 for the first document with travel included, and a full loan signing package is $250. Everything is quoted before we book. See the full price list.
Do you really work 24/7?
Yes. We take calls and bookings around the clock, including weekends and most holidays. Hospital and jail signings often happen at awkward hours and that is normal for us. The one exception is emergency apostilles at a weekend: the Secretary of State's office is closed, so those have to wait for a business day.
What ID do I need to bring?
A current, government-issued photo ID that is not expired – a driver's licence, state ID, passport, military ID or permanent resident card. The name on the ID must be at least as complete as the name being signed. If you do not have ID, California allows two credible identifying witnesses instead. See our guide to acceptable ID.
Do you have an office I can visit?
No, and that is deliberate. We are a mobile-only service: we travel to you, which is faster for you than driving across town and sitting in a queue. Any address you see in a listing is for post only.
